Eclipse Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This policy applies to Eclipse User App and Eclipse Open App (together, the Apps), operated as part of the Eclipse service. For questions about the controller of your data or this policy, contact pbort.etraid@grupoetra.com.
1. Information processed by the Apps
- Eclipse User App processes account information supplied by the Eclipse identity service, secure authentication tokens, supply-point identifiers, configured appliances, contract settings, energy-consumption measurements, prices, and recommendations.
- When a user connects an EDDIE data source, Eclipse User App processes the consent status and metering data required for that connection.
- Both Apps may process a Firebase Cloud Messaging token, operating-system type, selected service, and selected grid zone when needed to deliver optional notifications.
- Eclipse Open App stores the selected region, language, recommendation topics, selected grid zone, notification history, and diagnostic context for Sentry/GlitchTip locally or with the relevant service provider.
2. Purposes and legal basis
We process this information to authenticate authorised users, provide energy and grid information, show charts and recommendations, maintain app preferences, deliver notifications requested through the operating system, operate the EDDIE connection when selected, protect the service, and diagnose failures. Processing is based on providing the requested service, complying with legal obligations where applicable, and consent where consent is required, including for optional notifications and third-party data connections.
3. Service providers and sharing
Information is shared only with providers needed to operate the Apps:
- Eclipse backend infrastructure, which supplies app data and operates notifications.
- Keycloak, which provides the Eclipse User App identity service.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging, operated by Google, which delivers optional push notifications.
- EDDIE and its connected data services, only when a user starts and completes that connection.
- Sentry/GlitchTip for Eclipse Open App diagnostic events, and Carto map services for its grid-status map.
The Apps do not include advertising or behavioural advertising features and do not sell personal data.
4. Retention and security
We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve incidents, and enforce agreements. Authentication tokens and local preferences remain on the device until they are cleared by logout, app removal, or operating-system controls. Production app connections use HTTPS, and authentication tokens are stored using the device secure-storage facilities.
5. Your choices and rights
Notification permission can be granted, denied, or changed in the device settings. Eclipse User App accounts are provisioned by the service operator rather than through a public in-app registration flow. To request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, or further information about personal data, contact pbort.etraid@grupoetra.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
6. Children
The Apps are not directed at children and are not designed to collect personal information from children for marketing or profiling.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Apps or applicable requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
